Teamsters Endorse Ananich for State Senate
Working families cite Ananich's commitment to good jobs and fair wages
FLINT – The Michigan Teamsters Joint Council 43 has officially endorsed State Senator Jim Ananich (D-Flint) for reelection. Ananich recently filed for reelection after being elected to the Senate in a special election last May.
"We also want to thank you for your continued support for Michigan working families," wrote Greg Nowak, President of Michigan Teamsters Joint Council 43. “During the right-to-work fight in Michigan you were a strong voice in opposing that legislation and standing with the Teamsters."
Since arriving in the Senate, Ananich has been leading the charge to protect and create good-paying jobs, repeal tax hikes on seniors and working families, and improve public safety. He currently serves on four committees: Banking and Financial Institutions, Economic Development, Health Policy, and Transportation.
"Teamsters members work day in and day out to improve our community and economy. I am very honored to have their support and friendship," Ananich said. “We can only revitalize our economy by supporting our hard working men and women and fighting for policies that strengthen our middle-class."
