Ananich Looking Forward to

Ensuring Middle-class has a Voice in Michigan Senate

Special Election called for 27th State Senate District

Flint, Mich. - State Representative Jim Ananich (D-49th District) is looking forward to ensuring that the middle-class in Genesee County has a strong voice in the Michigan State Senate.  A special election was called today for the vacant 27th State Senate District.  In addition to representing portions of the city of Flint, Ananich also represents several communities in the 27th including Flint, Flushing and Mount Morris Townships as well as the cities of Flushing, Mount Morris and Swartz Creek.

“With all the critical issues likely to move early in this session, it’s important that middle-class Genesee County families have a strong voice for them in the State Senate,” said Ananich.  “I’m proud of my record of bringing people together to get things done and standing up for the middle-class.  Those are some of the reasons groups like the Genesee/Shiawassee/Lapeer Building Trades are already supporting me.”
