Ananich Earns Carpenters Support

(Flint, MI) – The Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters (Carpenters) announced their support of State Representative Jim Ananich in the special election for 27th State Senate District.  The Carpenters represent 20,000 journeypersons and apprentice carpenters across Michigan.  Ananich, who has also worked as a public school teacher, is running to fill the vacancy created when former State Senator John Gleason took office as Genesee County Clerk.

“I’d like to thank the Carpenters for their support and confidence in me,” said Ananich.  “They know that I’ve got a strong record of bringing people together to solve problems and protecting the middle-class.  I’m looking forward to continuing to talk to voters across Genesee County about my record and my priorities of protecting middle-class families, ensuring every child has a good school to attend, and making sure we stop the corporate special interests giveaways of our tax dollars.”

The Carpenters join a growing list of labor endorsements for Jim Ananich that includes the Genesee/Shiawassee/Lapeer Building Trades.
